Jianny Keegan was recently inducted into the North Haven Rotary Club by Dr. Richard Bassett (L) and Gaetano Casella, club president.
A retired research chemist, who worked for many years beside her husband in his gravel business on Valley Service Road, says that she went to grade school in Italy, high school in France, and got a BS in chemistry and physics at UCONN in 1958. With 7 grandchildren aged 5-10 years whom “she enjoys spoiling” provided by her 3 married sons, Jianny Bianchi Keegan has become the newest member of the North Haven Rotary Club. After 10 years of research work at Yale for the country’s space program, she decided to focus on raising a family while serving her community on various boards and commissions. The self described Master Gardener and Landscape Design Consultant has long been a Flower Show Judge for the Federated & National Garden Clubs. This member of the North Haven Garden Club now brings her many talents to the community’s active Rotary club. After an inspirational induction ceremony held by Assistant Governor Rick Bassett, Club President Gaetano Casella said that he was honored to bring the well known business woman into the service club.
