Multi-District PETS Make-up at SCSU School of Business

25 Presidents-elect from all over New England attended a day long Rotary PETS makeup at the School of Business of Southern CT State University in New Haven, CT on Saturday May 11th.

The training session was facilitated by DGE Mike Barnett (D7890), DGE Rick Bassett (D7980), PDG Julie Reppenhagen and PDG Rick Benson.

Topics covered included: Club Administration, Membership, Public Relations, Foundation and Goal Setting.

The event was catered by Theresa Viele, Debbie Volain and Jon Martinek  of the North Haven Rotary Club.

3 New D7980 Assistant Governors to be installed on July 1st

I am happy to announce the we have 3 new Assistant Governors for the year beginning July 1, 2013.

  • Dave Dlugos (Area 6: Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Naugatuck, Seymour/Oxford, Waterbury and Tri-bury). Dave is the current President of the Beacon Falls Club.
  • Robert Friend (Area 8: Branford, Clinton, East Haven, Guilford, Madison and North Branford ) – Robert is the past president of the Madison Club and the current District Foundation Stewardship Chair.
  • Tari Marshall-Day (Area 9: Cheshire, Meriden, Middletown and Wallingford ). Tari is the current President of Meriden Club.

Each of these Assistant Governors will take on 3 year leadership roles in the district which involves working very closely with the clubs that they are responsible for.
