The RI Conference in Lisbon wrapped up yesterday (6/26/13) with 2 great plenary sessions a number of breakout sessions.

Over 20,000 conference attendees were treated to a very well run event this year with informative and inspirational sessions in a pretty interesting city.

The only damper is that government unions were planning a general strike today which threatened to delay the homeward departure of many Rotarian’s but there are far worse places to be stranded.

Next year’s conference will be in Sydney and it promises to be a good one. You might want to consider taking advantage of the ‘Early Bird’ specials and booking it now.

RI Convention in Lisbon is underway

We just completed the 2nd day of the Rotary International Conference in Lisbon. With over 20,000 attendees and an enormous House of Friendship there is plenty of commotion and things to see. The Plenary sessions have been informative and entertaining so far but the pace picks up significantly tomorrow with the addition of hundreds of breakout sessions.

Rotary announced that we have now have a a presence in 190 countries.
