Well there was a lot more to do than was described in the Rotary District Governor job description when Jennifer and I signed up on the dotted line. I’ve attended dozens of PETS meetings, numerous District Conference and Foundation meetings, (2) zone meetings, dozens of leadership, finance and club meetings and will soon head to Rotary’s equivalent of the Fortress of Solitude (in a warmer climate) for a week of sequestered training with 531other incoming District Governors (DGE’s).

See if you can find Jenn and I. (Hint I have the yellow hat on and we are both wearing Red Slickers).

This will be the first Blog post leading up to my year as DG. As events unfold I will update the Blog which will be either called Bassett’s Blog or Rick’s Ramblings (you decide).
