New Rules beginning July 1, 2013
The District Foundation Meeting was held at the Graduate Club last night with over 20 District Foundation Committee members in attendance.

Incoming Chair Rick Benson ran the meeting in Mac’s absence. Mac is suffering with a bout of pneumonia and did not want to expose his friends to this.
The Committee agreed on the following changes for the 2013-14 year:
- District Managed Grants – The maximum district grant amount that a club will be allowed to apply for is $5,000 a year, the current limit is $2,500.
- District Managed Grants – Clubs will be allowed to partner (team up) with other clubs for District Grants, this is currently not allowed. When clubs do partner (team up) with other clubs they are able to extend their annual maximum to $7,500 as long as their portion of the partnership in a single grant doesn’t exceed $5,000. Clubs can submit proposals/applications for individual District Grants and partnership District Grants at the same time.
- District Managed Grants – District Managed Grants will be available for six areas of focus and will not longer be limited to just focusing on Humanitarian needs.
- Global Grants – The limit for Global Grants has been increased from $7,000 to $7,500 for 2013-14.
- President Elects (PEs) are strongly encouraged to submit their Foundation Goals but grants applications will not be held up if they haven’t.
