Cheryl Smith – PH+3

North Branford Rotarian Cheryl Smith was honored tonight with a Paul Harris plus 3 sapphires (PH+3) recognition pin at the Club’s weekly meeting. PH+3 is actually a 4th level recognition for the outstanding efforts and generous donations which Cheryl has made to the Rotary Foundation.

The  Club also received their Significant Achievement Award for achieving their goals from the District tonight amongst great fanfare.  For a small Club, the North Branford Rotary is always extremely active in the community and internationally.

North Branford Rotary meets each Wednesday evening at the new Nataz’s, which is an excellent restaurant and meeting place.

The Club is the ‘Home Club’ to incoming DG Mukund Nori and is hosting the District 7980 Installation dinner on 6/24.

Westport Sunrise Rotary Holds Paul Harris Recognition Breakfast

The Westport Sunrise Rotary Club held their annual Paul Harris Recognition Breakfast this morning at the Westport Inn with a very large crowd attending. The Club dedicates a special meeting to honor Club members and Community Leaders with Paul Harris Recognitions as a special way of saying Thank You for their dedicated and tireless work in bettering the community and the world.

Clubs take very different approaches to giving recognition but this format (very similar the one that Wallingford Rotary does with member anniversaries) seems to be one that is worth emulating as it is very appreciated by Club members and guests.
