The Ansonia Rotary Club serves up a good time

The Ansonia Rotary Club ran their 2nd Annual Wine and Beer Tasting Event at Villa Bianca in Seymour this afternoon. Being inside drinking wine and beer, eating good food and having nice conversations with great friends is always preferable to being outside on a cold rainy day.

The Club put together a very nice event which featured a Silent Auction with an abundance of desirable prizes and a wide variety of wines to sample which were provided by Valley Discount Liquor in Ansonia.

The event was put on as a partnership between The Housatonic Council BSA and the Ansonia Rotary Club.

Official Visit #55 – Ansonia Rotary Club

The Ansonia Rotary Club is small in terms of membership numbers but big in heart. This Club has been an integral part of their community since 1925 with many of their Rotarians serving roles in the school system, TEAM, YMCA, The Boy Scouts, The Chamber and other community organizations.

Each year the club holds an annual recognition dinner and recognizes the good works of police and firefighter first responders. This year Police Officer Nathan Anderson and Eagle Hose, Hook and Ladder Company Lt. Robert Mut accepted their honors at Molto Bene Italian Kitchen Restaurant at a dinner in their honor.

The Club also provides an annual scholarship to a graduating Ansonia High School senior as well as being a long-term active participant in the Dictionary Project.
