Orange Rotary Lobsterfest is a well buttered machine

Today was a perfect day for the 17th Annual Lobsterfest in Orange Connecticut as the Orange Rotary Club did a great job feeding the large crowds that turned out for their event. Attendees were treated to either twin lobsters or a delicious steak plus all of the fixings. The lines moved steadily without backup, the volunteers were friendly, smiling and helpful…pretty much a well buttered machine.

The event was well attended by the public as well as Rotarians from New Haven, Woodbridge, West Haven, East Hampton, Housatonic Valley, North Haven, Bridgeport, Devon and Milford. (Hopefully I didn’t miss anyone).

All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting Rotary’s initiatives both in the local community and abroad, including supporting the Orange Food Bank and the Annual Scholarship Program.

Orange Rotary Preparing for 8/10 Lobsterfest

The Orange Rotary Club is in full swing for their Lobsterfest next Saturday. Today’s meeting was short and sweet as club members worked to assemble the bags for next week.

Both the Orange and Woodbridge Rotary Clubs partner up on this event with proceeds going to the many charities and community projects that both clubs generously support.

While ticket sales are off to a good start, the Orange & Woodbridge Clubs really can use your support for this important fundraiser by purchasing tickets from them. Tickets are $40 each which entitles you to twin lobsters or a great steak with many fixings.

Jennifer, Adam and I have purchased our tickets, now it’s your turn!!! See you there.

Please call 203-516-0870 to purchase tickets.

Orange CT Lobsterfest 2013

The rain might have dampened the spirits of the golfers at the Racebrook Country Club yesterday but not those of the Orange Rotary Club Rotarian’s who turned out in big numbers for their weekly meeting. It was a pleasure seeing many old friends and meeting many new ones at the lunch meeting yesterday.

Orange, CT Rotary is a vibrant club that was chartered in 1968 and has many passionate members which are involved in all of the avenues of service with an especially strong emphasis on International service.

President Mike Richetelli has had a very successful year and will continue to be very active with the club going forward. He will pass the gavel (but maybe not the bell) to incoming President Carl Russell on July 1st.

Orange Rotary is getting ready for their Annual Lobsterfest on Aug 10th, be sure to join them for it.
