It’s almost that time of year again….
On Sept 7th the Chester Connecticut Rotary Club will host their 43rd Annual Lobster Festival at the Chester Fairgrounds.
The weekly meeting last Wednesday at the Chrisholm Marina focused on squaring up as many of the event’s details as possible. The meeting on the banks of the Connecticut River had a casual family feel to it, as does the club. Warm, inviting and friendly.
President Ron Woodward is focusing the club on PFC this year. If you want to know what PFC is then you will either; 1) need to go to one of their weekly meetings to find out or 2) wait until my Official visit write-up on Oct 23rd.
Without the benefit of fact checkers I am calling this the longest running Rotary Lobster event in District 7980. The annual event usually brings in large crowds of the loyal followers as well as a fair amount of new attendees each year.
Jennifer and I will not only attend the event this year but we will lend a hand before the event starts.
There are some interesting menu options like; surf & surf, surf & turf, turf & turf, turf….I’m not doing justice to this so it’s best if you go to http://chesterrotary.org/ to learn all about it and buy your tickets…yes they do accept PayPal.
If you can’t come then just buy a ticket to help the club out!! 🙂
