The Rotary Club of The Stoningtons hosted their annual Stonington/Westerly Thanksgiving Football Dinner last night at Buon Appetito Ristorante & Pizzeria in North Stonington just  four days before the historic Westerly-Stonington rivalry will play out on the football field.

This year’s game marks the One Hundred and Second year of this formidable high school football rivalry, which began in 1911, and it is going to be on the new Stonington High School football field.

By continuing with yet another tradition, the Rotary clubs of the Stoningtons and Westerly, welcomed players, coaches (past and present), Rotarians as well as engaged supports to share in an evening of camaraderie, fun and stories.

It is a tradition and a great night designed to encourage the players and supporters.
