Ridgefield Rotary Holds Fall Barbecue Fellowship

The Ridgefield Rotary Club held their fall fellowship at Andy & Nina Bodner’s home on Sunday afternoon. It was a perfect location and afternoon for fabulous fellowship, fine wine and a barbecue that could rival the best on either side of the Mason-Dixon line. The barbecue featured a slow cooked 50 lb pig, brisket and some unbelievable chili all prepared by Clif Heidinger.

The Ridgefield Rotary Club works hard during the year at their fundraisers and projects but they certainly also know how to enjoy themselves as well. The fellowship was well attended by Rotarians and family members. Jennifer and I are extremely grateful to have been included in this special day. Thanks to Andy, Nina and all of the Ridgefield Rotarians for all that you do.

Waterbury Rotary Club Cigar Dinner Fundraiser 09-19-2013

Waterbury Rotary Cigar Dinner on 9/19

The Waterbury Rotary Club held their 2nd Annual Cigar Dinner at La Bella Vista last night under the Ponte Club Pavilion which features very nice hillside views, nice covered space and spacious meeting area. The event featured an extra long, extra large buffet dinner with Beer, Wine, Scotch Tasting and Cigars galore for those Aficionado’s.

The event drew approximately 75 attendees and besides being an excellent fundraiser for the club it was also a perfect fellowship event under beautiful skies.

Try to catch this one if you missed it this year as the Waterbury Rotary Club does a top notch job with it.

Rotary Zone Institue in Cherry Hill New Jersey 09-18-2013

Another fun filled day of Rotary knowledge in Cherry Hill NJ. The DGN’s (Gerry Tom and her classmates completed their training today), The DGE’s (Mukund Nori and his classmates wrap up tomorrow) and then the Zone Institute begins and runs through Sunday.

East Hampton Rotary Fellowship at President Kevin Kuhr’s Home

East Hampton President threw an open house fellowship at his new (new to him) lake house in East Hampton today and several hundred people showed up. Some drove, some walked, some kayaked and many traveled via pontoon boat.

It was a nice way for Rotarians and friends to let their hair down a bit and celebrate the end of the summer. The weather was perfect, the food couldn’t be better and the fellowship was top notch. Not only is Kevin a great Rotary President but he also knows how to throw a party.

Milford Rotary Fellowship at the Walnut Beach Pavilion

The Milford Rotary Club held a large fellowship at the Walnut Beach Pavilion last night to celebrate their summertime success with their two biggest fundraisers; The Lobster Bake and The Milford Oyster Festival and to remember their dear friend Terry Munk who passed away on Sept 2nd. It was a perfect fall like night on the Milford shore with great fellowship, food, drink and company. It was an honor to be part of it.
