Beacon Falls Rotary trims a tree for Charity

The Beacon Falls Rotary Club took their weekly meeting on the road to Past President Karen Ambari’s house so that they could trim their tree for the United Way 7th Annual Festival of Trees.

Each year The United Way throws a sold out Reception & Silent Auction and Raffle that features Beer, Wine & hors d’oeuvres to the spectators that view and bid on the beautifully decorated trees that are donated by local organizations and individuals.

The Beacon Falls Rotary Club gets together each year to put the special touches on the tree that they donate. They do it as an informal fellowship meeting at a member’s house and have a good time doing it.

This year the event will be held on Dec 6th at Ion Bank on 87 Church Street in Naugatuck, CT, the cost is $20 per person. For more information contact the United Way office at 203-729-1564

Beacon Falls Rotary terrifies everyone at their Haunted Hayride

The Beacon Falls Rotary Club scared hundreds of men, women and children this weekend during their 2nd Annual Haunted Hayride.

The Club pulled out all of the stops  with this spooktacular event that featured a terrifying ride through the Haunted Forest followed by ear piercing screaming, a collection of smelling salts and various refreshments.

Pulling off a frightening event of this scale required the collective evil genius of; The Rotary Club of Beacon Falls, Cub-scout Pack 2010, Beacon Falls Park & Rec, the WRHS Interact Club and the Connecticut Soul Seekers.

The Club and their community partners did a fabulous job on this fun(d)raiser. President Joe vows that the 3rd Annual event will be even bigger and bloodier.
