Gerri Lewis recognizing Outgoing Keith Wescovich for hid hardwork

The Old Saybrook Rotary Club had their installation last night at the Saybrook Point Inn, which is a picture perfect facility right on the water. The night began with a fellowship cocktail hour outside on a private deck overlooking the marina.

Incoming club officers, directors and foundation board members were all sworn in and ultimately President Keith Wescovich passed the torch to Incoming President Gerri Lewis. Outgoing President Keith and the entire Old Saybrook Rotary Club had a very successful year. Incoming President Gerri Lewis has big plans to make their club even more vibrant than it is already. This is Gerri’s second time as Club President, she has also served 3 years as an Assistant Governor and has held down many district positions.

The event also featured awarding a Paul Harris Award to Paul Moore and the swearing in of 2 new Rotarians.

Meriden Rotary Installation 06-18-2013

The Meriden Rotary Club held their Passing of the Gavel event at the Historic Homewood Suites in Hartford, CT this past Tuesday evening to a sizable crowd of Rotarians, Spouses, Partners, Interact Kids, Visiting Rotarian’s and some District Representatives.

Besides being the perfect facility for such a fabulous event, the meals were excellent and the views directly overlooked the Capitol building.

After a well organized program by President Tari Marshall-Day, she passed the gavel back to the very capable hands of Cliff Carlson for another year at the helm. Tari did a great job as Club President during 2012-13 and has a considerable amount to be proud of. Tari will become a D7980 Assistant Governor on July 1st.

The Meriden Club has a very active group of Rotarian’s  which care deeply about their community and the world. Incoming President Cliff Carlson should have twice as much fun running the club this time around.
